| Tall pines and oaks surround Golden Valley Camp |
Our campsite is conveniently located in the beautiful foothills of the Sierra Nevada Mountains about an hour’s drive from Sacramento. Our wilderness facility occupies forty secluded acres of tall pines and heritage oaks just outside the historic California gold rush community of Volcano. At twilight enjoy the forest solitude broken only by the soft rippling sound of Golden Gate Creek as it runs through the campsite.
Golden Valley Camp is designed to support your programs. We can accommodate up to a hundred campers. Our eleven cabins are appropriately clustered and separated to meet your needs for lodging and supervision of mixed gender groups. We have miles of walking trails with benches sprinkled here and there to provide space for quiet meditation and prayer.
Our professional staff will meet your day-to-day needs for dining, accommodations and gathering space so that you can focus on your ministries. Our facilities include sleeping cabins, a dining hall, off hours snack shack, conference center, physically challenging team-building obstacle course, large recreation areas and an outdoor chapel all in a forest setting to refresh your body, mind, soul and spirit. You and your group will surely come to understand why our Gold Miners’ Memories of Home Fire Pit and Fellowship Circle often provides the fondest images of your visit to Golden Valley Camp.
