Facilities Designed to Refresh
the Body, Mind, Soul and Spirit

Your group can look forward to a retreat, conference or team-building camp-out in a Sierra Foothill forest setting specifically designed to refresh each body, mind, soul and spirit in your organization. We have sleeping cabins, a dining hall, off hours snack shack, conference center, physically challenging obstacle course, large recreation areas, outdoor chapel and a forest setting you simply must see to fully appreciate.

Miners' Diner

Golden Valley Camp has eleven cabins which sleep as many as twelve each. We provide a setting that is suitable for as few as thirty or as many as one hundred. The cabins are grouped and placed to appropriately separate and supervise young people by gender and provide the wholesome atmosphere you require.

Ore Cart Canteen

The Miners’ Diner seats up to eighty for inside meals while the adjoining deck overlooking Golden Gate Creek offers additional seating outside. Need a snack before or after regular mealtimes? Our Ore Cart Canteen is one our guests’ favorite stops. Our staff will help you set up a schedule to be sure the canteen is open when it will best serve your group and activities.

Miners' Challenge Obstacle Course

Golden Valley Camp has three large recreation areas that include year-round meadows for picnic or play. There’s even a spring-fed pond to enjoy or float a row boat. To promote teamwork and develop physical skills, our Miners’ Challenge Obstacle Course is designed to offer difficult activities for your very best performers and promote success for the least. Many activities on the course can only be completed successfully by committed teamwork.

Gold Nugget Hall

Our new open-architecture conference center, Gold Nugget Hall, accommodates up to 175 in the auditorium configuration or it can be rearranged for workshops, demonstrations, small group discussions or even class circles. It is limited only by your creativity and imagination. Our professional staff can assist you in defining and arranging the hall to suit your needs.

Gold Country Chapel

Golden Valley Camp is designed to refresh the soul and spirit with miles of nature trails, many containing off-trail benches and seating for quiet meditation and prayer. Our outdoor Gold Country Chapel seats up to 120 people in a forest setting for church services, twilight worship or group witness. There’s plenty of space for multi-media if your group desires.

We’ve designed Golden Valley Camp to provide a wilderness setting where you and your group can withdraw from the pressures and intrusions of our entirely “too busy” daily world and truly refresh your body, mind, soul and spirit. We hope you’ll find it as refreshing as we do.
