We include dinner on your arrival day, three meals on each of the complete days you stay with us and a hearty late breakfast on your departure day.
The Miners’ Diner seats up to eighty for inside meals while the adjoining deck overlooking Golden Gate Creek offers additional seating outside. Need a snack before or after regular mealtimes? Our staff will help you set up a schedule for the Ore Cart Canteen to be sure that its open when it will best serve your group’s needs and activities.
We want you to enjoy as much personal and group refreshment time as possible during your stay so all preparation, service and cleanup are done by our staff. We will work with your group leader to develop a nourishing and tasty menu to your liking. Our commercial quality kitchen is capable of producing a wide range of dishes that you are sure to enjoy.
As evening settles upon Golden Valley Camp, you can gather round our Gold Miners’ Memories of Home fire pit and fellowship circle to toast your smores, share your adventures of the day, recognize those who succeeded beyond their best expectations and plan for the day to come. We know that some of the fondest images of your stay will occur in the fire light at pit side.
In the Spring of 2009, we will dedicate our Forty-Niner Gold Rush Bar-B-Que. You will be able to either welcome your campers on arrival evening and remind them of your expectations for their stay or conclude your refreshing week in worship, remembrance and song on the evening before you depart. Our staff will work with you to plan a memorable event for your group.
There are miles of hiking trails at Golden Valley Camp. Many of them lead to sites with spectacular vistas of our mountains. These sites provide an opportunity for a meal, meditation, devotions and worship. In the planning stages for your visit, our staff will work with you to create a great bag lunch or dinner that your campers can easily carry on their hike. Each vista site has secure trash storage so you won’t have to bring it back or leave it for our mountain creatures.
